6th day in HK-SZ (20.4.2010)

Last day in HK..want to do bac to malaysia and bac to work!! oh, how i hope got 1 more day!!

We are scare tat we will be late to airport. although our flight is on 845pm, but we check out at 12pm, and go to tai zi MTR station to get our bus ticket. after asking a tour company (环岛大陆通), we bought 2 bus ticket 1:30pm from HK-SZ airport, cost us RMB90 per person. they give us a blue sticker each so that the bus company can recognize us.

Is only 12:40pm, i , myself, rush to wongkok MTR station to check out whether got loh po biscuit. disappointed. don have. so went bac to taizi station to refund the octopus card. it was 1:10pm. quite brave to go alone and left him take care of the bag. he was quite worry too, coz no hp to contact if really really get lost.

1:30pm the bus brought us from taizi to the border, go through immigration, and transfer to the other bus. they will recognize us because of the blue sticker. the journey from HK-SZ airport only took us 2 hours. 3:40 already reach airport. check in time is around 7:40pm. we stil got so many hours (4 hours) to roam around.

We roam around the interchina airport 1st, then ask the way to international airport. the 1st nite was too dark to take a look at the airport, and it was freezing cold too. in their interchina airport, there are few shops and restaurant to shop and eat. then we went to international airport, only 2 restaurant, 1 bookshop and 1 souvenir shop!! not very impressive. we sat down at BEST COFFEE restaurant to have a cup of mochacinno and sandwich. expensive meal tat cost us RMB72. then we went back to interchina airport, coz too many hours and quite boring at the international airport.

We went around and unexpected we bought 5 books from the bookstore that cost us only RMB133. then we went to TAI KA LOK to have our dinner. we order 2 set (spaghetti, rice and drinks) and cost us only around RMB65. cheaper than the BEST COFFEE.

6:30pm we went back to the international airport, it was raining quite heavily, and we were lucky we were early arrive to avoid from getting wet.

After check in, we wait for the plane 8:50pm. the flight was delay for an hour because of some problem. maybe raining weather. 4 hours later, we reach LCCT at 2am. buy some duty free item and get in the last bus (2:30am). 3:30 reach KL central and took a taxi (RM30) back to home!!

Rest for a day and prepare to work again!! really have a happy holiday!!

5th day in HK (19.4.2010)

DISNEYLAND!! here i come. after having porridge breakfast, took MTR, reach disney at 11am. past few day was quite windy in HK, but today was warm, the big sun also came out to join us for fun. food inside was quite expensive, as usual, need to eat also. we only have 1hotdog (HKD20), 1chicken leg (HKD24) and 2corn (HKD24) for the whole day. souvenirs are so nice, and want to brought back all, but at last, we only bought a few. should bought a lot, but is a little not cheap! it was very fun. will go again next time.

looking forward to japan and US disneyland..earn money! save money! earn! save!

we went to wong kok ladies market again. it was the last nite in HK. i finally bought 2nike bag and faster go eat dinner 1st. we are staving because we walk alot at disney land but eat very few. after dinner, we walk again and do some last minute shopping. hope that we stil have another day/nite.

4th day in HK (18.4.2010)

After breakfast, we went to Snoopy world situated a Sha Tin supermarket. after get down from the MTR, walk straight and we saw a sign pointing snoopy world is straight ahead. we follow the sign and reach snoopy world. although not very big, but the characters are cute. is a small playground for all to have a rest.

Today was a free and easy day, because we do not have any plan. we walk around and buy lou poh biscuit at 1 of the MTR station. too bad, i cant remember which one, and very sad that i cant buy any back to malaysia. sighhh.

We went back to hotel around 5pm and take a rest. then continue to walk around causeway bay nite market. get ready to go disneyland tomorrow!! very exited.

3rd day in HK (17.4.2010)

A cool whether to walk around HK. went to have our breakfast (wanton mee & fishball mee)not as nice as i thought, and is quite expensive. maybe we order wrong food as everyone actually eating porridge. after eating, i bought a windbreaker from giodano, and we went to Time Square to shop. shops mostly open at 11am. I went around the shops and try to find nike bag for my bro & sis. juz to compare price 1st. then for lunch we went to McD. they have pork sausage burger in HK, so we order. tasty.

Around 2pm. we went to The Peak and Madame Tussauds. from central MTR station, we need to walk some distance before arriving the Central Peak Tram Terminus. there are alot of people queuing. we need to buy the tram + madame tussauds ticket, so we get to go to the fast lane. we got our ticket for HKD180 per person. the tram climbs smoothly up to 396m above the sea level and is simply breathtaking.

Inside madame tussauds-the world famous wax exhibition, we saw lots of lifelike portraits of celebrities such as james bond, jackie chan, michael jackson, etc. some are very real and we snap lots of pictures. we bought some souvenirs for our frens and we also bought our disneyland ticket at the disney booth. HKD350 with a free gift (disney umbrella). after that, we went outside, and it was cold, wind blows.

THe Peak tower has over 112000 square feet of great dining, shopping and entertainment space. the scenery was nice, and take some shots at the peak. we ate McD again (BIGMAG) as we feel hungry and they have big mac promotion (HKD20/set). wind blowing and while half way eating, the tomato sauce flew & drop on the floor.

Around 6pm, we went down and head to wong kok (ladies market), a place where we can find a lot of tings to eat & buy. after having our dinner, we continue to shop. my backside began to feel pain (walk too much^o^)but stil continue, coz i try not to miss out anything. we bought some tibits, socks, bubble milk tea (comebuy), etc. late 11am, we went back to hostel and have a good nite sleep.

2nd day in SZ - HK (16.4.2010)

is lok's birthday!!!

SZ-Wake up in the morning. walk around to find breakfast, then we discover a restaurant (cant remember the name) with quite a lot of people. so we just walk in without thinking. we order a set of porridge + cheong fun and HK shun tak steam egg. emm..yummy!

Then we walk again and wanted to try other food, and we choose a mix rice shop. all the price has been stated. we just pick some vege + meat + soup, then pay. we enjoy eating it >o<

12pm we check out from haifu SZ hotel and head to HK. we took a taxi till SZ luohu station, then go to immigration and get our passport stamped. immeditely when we go through the immigration, the HK MTR (HK lo hu station) was there and ready to take us to anywhere else in HK. we bought a Octopus card (HKD100+HKD50 as deposit) because 10% discount if using octopus card for every journey. but they charge HKD7 if we return the card within 3 months.

HK.. here we go..

the MTR is super link, very easy and convenient especially for foreigners, the system is good and fast. from LO HU-> Hung Hom-> East Tsim Sa Tsui -> Tsim Sa Tsui-> Admiralty (jing zhong)-> Causeway Bay-> our HK HOSTEL at causeway bay.

when we got down from the station, we was abit blur, don noe where the hostel is. so we walk around (15min) n finally found it. we were abit curious because the building is actually for residence, and i tink they make some units into hostel. we follow a security guard to 3rd floor to register. we make the payment by credit card. we got our room key (13 floor, room C)and password for coming into this building.

There is a guy help us to carry a baggage (but because no small money, all HKD50 & 100, so we din give him any tips, soory). we were shock once more, the room was so small (~270cm x 210cm). but no complain as it is cheap, only ~RM150/day. although is small, but the room has almost everything (TV, Fridge, aircon, double bed, side table, cupboard, toilet, toilet paper). we rest for awhile and try to explore the small room. the aircon is written SUPER QUITE, but when we switch on, is SUPER NOISY!! lucky the weather is cool, and we still can survive without aircon. bathroom shower tap not very good, but got hot water. so without loosing any seconds, we head down to causeway bay, walk around and have a bowl of porridge & 'zha liong' before going to TSIM SHA TSUI to enjoy the symphony of lights.

around 5pm we took MTR from causeway bay->central and take a ferry from central->tsim sha tsui. it is very convenient and cheap. we took our dinner 1st before we enjoy the symphony of lights (started 8pm everyday).

Then we walk around and sit at a place and wait for the lights to turn on. very nice scenery and we took some photos. people getting crowded as it is about 7:45pm. there are people blocking our view..grrhhhh..8pm..started..a light show across 50 buildings on Kowloon and HK side, with laser beams, colored light with music celebrating HK's energy and spirit. the lights will follow the music and it turns out to be very beautiful and unique. nice!! shows end after 15min.

Then we walk along the avenue of stars. we alot of actor/actors palm printed along the road. it is very windy tat nite, and i was in a jacket shivering >o<. it is quite a long path, and we enjoy a cup of ice blended coffee in starbucks. of course we sit inside, or else i will become ice tube:)

we cant walk back to the jetty, as it is long long way, so we decide to take MTR bac to causeway bay from tsim sa tsui station. then we walk again to grab someting at nite around causeway cay, there are so many people. huuh. around 11:30pm, we head back to hotel and rest. continue our journey tomorrow!!

22 April 2010

1st day in Shenzhen (15.4.2010)

Wake up early in the morning, pack up all my things and get ready to fly to Shenzhen/HK.

We are very excited, 1st time travel, free and easy. before this, already do quite a lot of 'homework' and research. booked this ticket on may 2009. waited for 1 year, and here we go.

We arrive KL central at 11am, buy our bus ticket (RM8 per person), and straight go to LCCT without any delay. we arrive at LCCT at 12:30pm. oh, still got lots of time, as our flight is 4:20pm.

While waiting, we went into marrybrown to have our lunch.
Time tickles, and at last we check in, depart to SZ. chating, dinner at flight (siam beehoon, cake, doughnut, 100plus, milo) and take a short nap.

Before arriving, announcement being made saying that temperature in SZ only 12°c. we got shock, coz we check internet the temperature is around 20-23°c. lucky i got 1 jacket, but Lok don have. only wearing a t-shirt, short pants & slippers!!

When we get out from flight, wind blows, shivering and we ran into a bus that take us to the terminal to get our passport stamped.

It was quite fast but the officer not very friendly. After we pass through and claim our baggage, we got no choice, but to take a taxi, as the weather is too cold and is nite time. we are also hungry. the taxi fare is RMB180 from SZ bao'an airport to Haifu hotel. we do not know whether is expensive or cheap, as long as can arrive, tats good enough :) it take around 40min to reach hotel. driving in SZ quite 'horrible', jam, fast & hons along the road.

After we check into the hotel, we got shock again. the environment in the hotel is quite romantic. they even prepare condom for customers! BUT OF COURSE HAVE TO PAY!! haha. we chuck our bag and go to the nearest restaurant to have our late dinner.

Then we walk along dongmen street. there are alot of people and also many tings to buy. we arrive late, some began to close and tats why we did not buy much tings. we bought 3 duck wings and a piece of small cake and head back to hotel to enjoy the food. tasty!
